In a study about the Feasts of Israel, we looked at the characteristics of Jesus as our High Priest in Hebrews. One of study companions said she wrote all of His characteristics in “You are” statements. By creating this simple change in front of all my notes, a beautiful time of worshiping who Jesus is resulted. Here are the praises I came up with…enjoy worshiping our Mighty King!
You are how God speaks to us.
You are the appointed heir of all things.
You are whom God made the universe through.
You are the radiance of God’s glory.
You are the exact representation of God’s being.
You are sustainer of all things by your powerful word.
You are the purification for sins.
You are at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
You are superior to the angels.
You are God’s firstborn.
You are on a throne which lasts forever and ever.
You are a lover of righteousness.
You are a hater of wickedness.
You are set above your companions.
You are anointed with the oil of joy.
You are the layer of the foundations of the earth from the beginning.
You are the maker of the heavens with your hands.
You are forever.
You are imperishable.
You are the same and your years never end.
You are crowned with glory and honor.
You are the taster of death for everyone.
You are a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God.
You are the atonement for the sins of the people.
You are the helper of those who are being tempted.
You are our apostle and high priest.
You are faithful to the One who appointed you.
You are a great high priest who ascended into heaven.
You are the Son of God.
You are able to empathize with our weaknesses.
You are without sin, though tempted in every way.
You are called by God.
You are God’s Son.
You are a priest forever.
You are prayerful and petition with fervent cries and tears.
You are reverently submissive.
You are obedient which you learned through your sufferings.
You are perfect.
You are the source of eternal salvation for all who obey.
You are designated by God to be high priest.
You are a priest on the basis of the power of an indestructible life.
You are a better hope by which we draw near to God.
You are everlasting.
You are a permanent priesthood.
You are able to save completely.
You are an intercessor for us.
You are a high priest who meets our need.
You are holy.
You are blameless.
You are pure.
You are set apart from sinners.
You are exalted above the heavens.
You are the sacrifice for sins once and for all.
You are the appointed Son who has been made perfect forever.
You are a servant in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord.
